Bitcoin is the biggest “sleeping asset” in crypto, long lacked secure native yield use cases. Hashi’s idea: using MPC + Sui smart contracts to turn BTC into hBTC on Sui, which can be lent, staked, or used in structured products. Anchorage Digital is a licensed qualified custodian in the US—this is critical. Wall Street institutional capital wants to enter but fears custody risks—this concern is now addressed. $500 million is just the start; Sui has the potential to become the preferred clearing layer for institutional DeFi on BTC. 4️⃣ A very bold signal Data Foundation @datafdn (formerly Story Protocol) has decided to retire its own L1 and migrate its entire core infrastructure to run on Sui! Years of development, millions raised—then they shut down their own chain and moved to someone else’s. This is more convincing than any marketing partnership.
