DTCC launches tokenization service
Oct 28, DTCC's DTC introduced Tokenization Service, enabling weekend transfers of 34 eligible securities including Russell 1000 equities and US Treasuries.

This is a glimpse into the future of financial markets. I've discussed this before, but worth reiterating. We're entering a fundamentally different era of market participation, and investors need to recalibrate their expectations of volatility. Consider how dramatically market structure has evolved. 2-3x leveraged ETFs, options, perps, increasingly accessible margin, algo trading, 24/7 crypto markets has fundamentally changed how quickly capital can move and how aggressively investors can express risk and we're still in early stages. Tokenization will extend market access, collateral mobility, and trading hours across entirely new categories of assets. Yes, we'll progressively remove the friction to market access and bring more participation, but it also introduces a paradox. We're making it easier than ever to participate in markets, while potentially making it harder than ever to remain disciplined within them. Markets are increasingly interconnected and sensitive to SO many variables. A literal tweet can trigger algo selling, which can accelerate, force margin calls and liquidate an entire PMs book Greater liquidity, accessibility, and more efficient risk transfer are genuine benefits. But when these innovative products are combined with increasingly accessible leverage, the speed at which markets can reprice risk can become disconnected from what we've been used to for decades. As markets become faster, more leveraged, and more reactive, patience, simplicity, and the ability to remain invested may become increasingly valuable advantages.

$LINK CHAINLINK BRINGS 24/7 PRICING TO TOKENIZED FINANCE Traditional stock markets close. Blockchain markets don’t. That creates a major problem when stocks and other financial assets move onto blockchains. On October 29th, Chainlink launched Chainlink 24/7, providing continuous pricing data for tokenized stocks, commodities and other real-world assets. Even on weekends and market holidays. WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? Imagine using tokenized stocks as collateral for a loan. What happens when the stock exchange closes but the blockchain lending market remains open? Lenders still need reliable prices to manage risk. Chainlink addresses this by combining traditional market data with pricing from perpetual futures markets when exchanges are closed. These weekend prices reflect derivatives trading, not actual trades on closed stock exchanges. AAVE IS ALREADY INVOLVED Aave is adopting Chainlink 24/7 for Horizon, its institutional lending platform. The initial focus is on tokenized U.S. equities. Chainlink also reports that its earlier 24/5 pricing infrastructure already supports more than $1.6 billion in tokenized stocks across six blockchains. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR $LINK? It’s another example of Chainlink becoming part of the infrastructure connecting traditional finance with blockchain markets. Tokenization needs more than digital ownership. It needs pricing, liquidity, risk management and reliable financial data. However, this launch doesn’t establish additional LINK token demand or new lending volumes. The bigger picture is encouraging. Financial markets are moving toward 24/7 operation, and Chainlink is helping provide the infrastructure to make that possible. #Chainlink #LINK #Tokenization #RWA #DeFi #InstitutionalCrypto

I think I figured it out. It's almost cute how transparent the choreography is once you know where to look. The sequence of these three events over the next 12 months is a masterclass in institutional handover: ⏳ Jan 2027: The EU Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI) launches in Germany. This is the technical infrastructure for storing official IDs, signatures, and credentials on your phone. ⏳ Feb 7, 2027: Christine Lagarde steps down as ECB President, nearly a year before her term ends. She cites a desire for "freedom of speech" to engage in political matters. ⏳ H2 2027: The Digital Euro pilot phase officially begins. The ECB is already locking in network providers to connect the banks. This isn't a conspiracy theory. It's choreography. The political head of the central bank is stepping down right as the technical rails for a programmable, identity-linked digital currency are being laid. They need the digital ID infrastructure in place before the currency can go live. The official narrative will frame this as a coincidence of timing. But structurally, this is a handover of the keys. You are watching the Shadow of Control (the infrastructure of total identity tracking) meet the Shadow of Urgency (the rushed political exit to avoid accountability). The map is not the territory. But the territory is being wired up in real-time.

London is about to get a full week of conversations around tokenization, digital assets and institutional capital. The @ZIGFinance team will be in the city from November 9–17, attending seven industry events and meeting people working across the onchain finance space. The team heading over includes: ➜ Abdul Rafay Gadit — Co-Founder & CCO ➜ Ahmed A Shafi — Head of Strategy ➜ Phillip Caspers Pabst — Director, Institutional BD ➜ Rosser Jones — VP of Communications ➜ Mustafa Khaliq — Lead BD Their schedule covers some important gatherings: ▸ KAIO Tokenisation Leaders Summit ▸ Frontier Capital Summit ▸ Solana Breakpoint 2026 ▸ Stable & Capital Summits ▸ Digital Asset Summit 2026 ▸ paklaunch London Meetup Seven events, plenty of room for proper conversations. There's a lot to discuss around how real-world assets are being structured, how institutional capital can access onchain opportunities, and what needs to happen before tokenized finance becomes more widely adopted. If you're an allocator, issuer, platform or builder working in this space, the ethereum:0xb2617246d0c6c0087f18703d576831899ca94f01 team will be around. In London between November 9 and 17? Make an introduction and connect with the team.

💥 NEW: Andreas Kohl: Tokenized Stocks Don't Need Wall Street's Permission > WSJ ad calls tokenized stocks shadows with no vote, dividend, or legal standing. > 22 companies, including Microsoft, Alphabet, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Arm, and McDonald's, opted out. > Kohl: true tokenized equity is possible, Switzerland allows free trading with KYC only for voting and dividends. > Sequentia anchors to Bitcoin, so both chains reorganize together, no one-sided swap reversal. > Bitcoin is the money, issuers hold the rights, as little as possible in between.

LATEST: 🇬🇧🇭🇰 The London Metal Exchange is exploring tokenization of off-warrant metal stored in Hong Kong, which could allow businesses to use digital representations of their inventories as loan collateral. The LME says it will consult industry stakeholders as it develops the proposal. An invitation-only industry roundtable is planned for early November.

A Fortune Global 500 financial group just chose Chainlink for its RWA platform. South Korea's Hanwha Investment & Securities is adopting CCIP and Chainlink's data infrastructure to tokenize assets and explore using them as collateral. $LINK is getting closer to the infrastructure that moves institutional money. But when does adoption start showing up in token demand?
