CHINA HAS MORE MONEY IN ITS SYSTEM THAN EVER China's M2 money supply hit a record ¥356.81 trillion at the end of August, according to PBOC data. That's around $53.1 trillion, more than double the US M2 at $23.34 trillion. China’s M2 grew by ¥1.3 trillion ($190B) in August alone, pushing the money supply 7.5% higher than a year ago. China added almost ¥24.8 trillion ($3.7T) to its money supply over the past 12 months - even though its economy remains smaller than the U.S. economy. The gap exists because most Chinese savings sit in bank deposits, which count toward M2, while Americans keep far more of their wealth in stocks and funds.

Despite China’s continued strict crypto restrictions, P2P trading of stablecoins has surged significantly. 📈 According to Chainalysis, the number of wallets sending stablecoins via P2P increased 43-fold between Q1 2024 and Q2 2026. From July 2025 to June 2026 alone, China recorded approximately 18.1 million transactions involving self-custodied stablecoins, with a total value of around $104.1 billion. 💰 This clearly shows that demand continues to grow despite the restrictions.

USDT is coming home to Bitcoin. 🟠 In October, USDT is expected to return to Bitcoin through RGB. This is more than the return of a stablecoin. It means Bitcoin can finally become a native financial settlement layer for: • Private USDT payments • Native BTC ↔ USDT swaps • Bitcoin-backed finance • And eventually, instant payments through Lightning No wrapped BTC. No new Bitcoin L1. No compromise on Bitcoin’s security. RGB gives stablecoins a new path: Bitcoin security + client-side privacy + scalable asset transfers. The next chapter of Bitcoin is not just about holding BTC. It’s about building an entire financial ecosystem on Bitcoin. The dollar is coming back to Bitcoin. And this time, it’s staying. #Bitcoin #USDT #RGB #Lightning #MCU

🚨 Stablecoin usage in China has increased 43-fold! Despite crypto-related restrictions, stablecoin wallets have grown 43 times. Over the past 12 months, $104 billion in transfers occurred. Bans often backfire—instead of stopping usage, they’ve shifted transactions to P2P.

Stablecoins do not need to feel new. @nassyweazy argues the industry spends too much time selling a shiny new product and not enough time explaining what better money should actually look like. That includes being honest about comparisons with cards. A $2 card fee pays for more than moving money: compliance, consumer protection, refunds and chargebacks. A sharp conversation with @aesmonty on what the stablecoin industry still gets wrong about its own pitch. 📅 Full episode coming this Wednesday, 7 October, at 15:00 UTC
