Arc mainnet launch
Circle launched Arc Layer 1 mainnet on Sep 16 with 100+ apps and 100+ institutional builders. BlackRock, Visa, and DTCC are founding validators. Genesis minted 10 billion ARC tokens.

🚨 Circle officially launches the $ARC token mint Circle has created the native token of its Arc blockchain. This is a technical milestone in the network’s development, which is now live on mainnet. In the longer term, a transition to Proof of Stake is under consideration, for which $ARC could play a key role. ⚠️ Currently, $ARC is not active, tradable, or available to the public.

Something I keep thinking about with @arc : - Circle may have finally found a way to make its infrastructure more valuable than just issuing stablecoins. - They already have one of the most widely used assets in crypto with USDC. But most USDC activity still happens across infrastructure Circle doesn’t control. ➜ Ethereum. ➜ Solana. ➜ Base. ➜ Arbitrum. Multiple chains, multiple liquidity pools, different fee markets. Arc changes that equation. Circle can now provide the money, the settlement layer and the infrastructure connecting institutions to onchain markets. That’s a much deeper business model than simply competing for stablecoin market share. And this is where I think the retail side gets interesting. Most new chains create new waves of retail activity. And somehow, retail usually ends up taking the biggest hit. Most get rugged, drained, or caught in token hype and mechanics they don’t fully understand. This is a problem most chains still haven’t really solved yet. But Arc has an interesting foundation here. USDC is incredibly easy to trace, and Circle can block certain addresses. You can still steal, you just can’t necessarily enjoy it. And @liftdotfun seems to be pushing a similar idea into the retail layer. Not trying to make trading risk-free, but making some of the usual ways teams can interfere after launch harder. More freedom for retail, less room for teams to interfere. That’s also why I’ve been keeping an eye on $LIFT If Arc becomes a serious retail ecosystem, projects built around reducing unnecessary risks and improving how value moves could become increasingly important.

Can @circle see inside private transactions on @arc? @chandhok, Circle’s Chief Product & Technology Officer: “Validators are not gonna be able to look at your transactions.” “Nobody’s able to look inside those.” “Even Circle cannot look inside those transactions.” “When I say privacy, it’s true privacy.” “Privacy is just the beginning.”

Wow Circle’s Arc is officially live And the validator list is probably the part worth staring at twice BlackRock DTCC Visa Mastercard Plus Uniswap, Aave and 100+ builders around the ecosystem USDC-native settlement rails are no longer just a thesis They’re being built Kind of infrastructure i like most The next cycle won’t just be about what gets tokenized It’ll be about where everything settles Nfa- dyor

Today September 16 @ARCchain's Public Mainnet officially goes live Circle's L1 using USDC as gas Designed with fast settlement stablecoin-native payments and real world adoption in mind this chain is also attracting attention with validator participation from institutions like BlackRock Visa and Mastercard This is not just another mainnet launch, but the beginning of a new chapter for onchain finance And the ARC token? That's coming later. For now the mainnet is live

🚨 Circle launches Arc public mainnet. The new EVM-compatible Layer 1 uses USDC for transaction fees and has 11 founding validators, including BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, DTCC and Standard Chartered. Arc is designed for stablecoin payments and financial markets, offering deterministic sub-second settlement and support for more than 20 fiat denominated stablecoins.

🚨BIG: @arc Mainnet is officially live. @circle has launched its new Layer 1 for global markets, payments, tokenized assets, and agentic economic activity, with USDC as native gas and sub-second finality. More than 100 applications and 100+ institutional and ecosystem builders are live from day one. CEO @jerallaire calls Arc Circle’s most significant launch since USDC itself.

Congrats to @circle and @Arc on the mainnet launch. Markets now operate 24/7, across borders and at global scale. Arc brings the infrastructure to match, with real time value movement, tokenized assets and agentic economic activity. As a member of the Circle Alliance Program, we’re excited to see how Arc helps shape the future of financial markets.
