Sept 9, US Treasury tripled buyback limit to $6B for 10-20 year bonds, but 10-year yield rose to 4.85% as market expected higher.

$32 billion of Treasuries bought back in four weeks. Liquidity support… or the market telling the issuer something?

Retail keeps cheering Treasury “buybacks” like it’s QE. It isn’t. A buyback is a debt swap. Treasury buys an old bond and issues a new one (usually bills) to pay for it. Debt doesn’t fall. Duration just gets shorter. Dealers get a bid. That’s plumbing. Meanwhile Customs has been pulling cash out of U.S. importers every month since the 2025 tariffs hit. Jan 2025–Jul 2026, gross dollars collected from importers, before refunds: $449 billion. Peak months were $28–33B. The “doubling” of long-bond buybacks that lit up CT was about +$14B of extra capacity through November. That’s less than two weeks of peak tariff collections.😂 So the market made a holiday out of a $2–4B operation and ignored a $25–30B/month tax on the import channel. Will Bitcoin Bros wake up or will you continue to play dumb?

Check this 5-min video. Treasury buybacks aren’t injecting liquidity. They’re a credit swap. This does ZERO for retail liquidity. Trumps Import taxes keep extracting retail liquidity $20–30B a month. The willful blindness is insane. We will get past this time but we have 863 days of chaos and uncertainty to go. Tariffs Bitcoin Crypto 👇

US Treasury to buy back $6 Billion of debt tomorrow. What it means for investors... The Treasury’s $6B buyback of 10-20 year debt could ease pressure on long-term yields, which would be a tailwind for Bitcoin and other risk assets. If yields keep climbing anyway, that may signal deeper bond market stress and strengthen Bitcoin’s long-term hard-money thesis.

BREAKING: Treasury just tripled its buyback size. $6,000,000,000 in longer-dated debt. First operation under the expanded program. Triple the original $2,000,000,000 ceiling. Targeting 10-to-20-year notes. Here's the part markets didn't like. The reaction was negative. Yields rose, not fell. 10-year climbed toward 4.85%. Traders had priced in something bigger. $6,000,000,000 landed below what was already expected. Even Stanley Druckenmiller, Bessent's own former mentor, has been critical of the approach. Debt issuance up 11.8% from last year. $31.8,000,000,000,000 in publicly held debt now. Up 8.2%. The intervention that was supposed to calm the bond market. Just showed its limits on day one of the bigger version.

Honestly... I'm impressed with $BULL today. It stood its ground and did not dip a lot today. It's probably going to reclaim $9.50 tomorrow and hopefully challenge $10 again and close above it. Again.... for all the people in the back... Webull still has $90M in shares buyback that they STILL have to do. My bet is that the buying is happening as we speak. Are we headed to $15+ by year end?
