Mechaverse is a subsidiary GameFi project of Mechaverse Labs, a Japanese Web3 entertainment platform. At its core, Mechaverse is all about giving players a fantastic, entertaining and user-friendly experience, with tons of options for earning and monetization. This gaming platform is built around the story of a mysterious ascending-dimension catastrophe where the earth is invaded by silicon-based lifeforms from another galaxy.

These alien lifeforms have come to invade and plunder the earth with their digital and physical armies. The goal of the game is to fight these invaders by allying with other humans fighting side by side to save the human civilization.

Players can choose from a variety of in-game characters, each with their own unique set of skills and abilities. These characters are called Heroes and can be organized by the player to defeat the aliens and earn rewards in the form of the platform's $MM token.

The more Heroes a player has, the more their chance of winning and getting better odds for claiming rewards. So it's in a player's best interest to team up with friends, family, or other players to create the ultimate Mecha Hero army!

Players can also take on other players in the Mechaverse arena, where they can battle it out one-on-one or in team matches. Then there is the final Boss Challenge where players get to battle a Boss from another world. These Boses appear irregularly every week to challenge the players, and every time a player wins they get rewards.

How Does it Work?

As mentioned, Mechaverse is powered by the GameFi Protocol. This protocol is a set of NFTs that represent the position of the players throughout the game's ecosystem. With NFTs as the bloodline that keeps the game economy alive, it can offer players a unique gaming experience with many opportunities for earning and monetization.

The GameFi Protocol has three types of NFTs:

Characters: These represent the heroes that players use to battle it out in the game. Characters can be traded, sold, or even used as collateral for loans.

Items: These include weapons, armor, and other in-game items that characters can use to boost their stats. Like Characters, Items can also be traded or sold in the game's marketplace.

GameFi Shares: These NFTs represent a player's share of the Mechaverse gaming platform.

Apart from a virtual world, this project also features an offline Web3 experience where top players will have the chance to be entertained at a stadium located in Tokyo TV Tower. NFT holders in the Mechaverse ecosystem will be able to participate in the project's offline E-Sports Season and even win lottery rewards in the forms of original IP and manuscripts of different anime characters within the game's ecosystem.

Who Created Mechaverse (MC)?

Mechaverse is the brainchild of Mechaverse Labs, which is a Japanese Web3 game development studio that is also known for its ownership of various forms of game like Auto Chess, Battle Royale,3D Fighting, sandbox, conquest and UFO Catcher, etc.

The project is being developed in collaboration with several well-known Japanese IP providers such as Sunrise, SEGA, and BANDAI NAMCO. With such a team of industry veterans on the project, such as game developers, artists, and musicians not to mention their shared love for Anime, Mechaverse is shaping up to be a gaming platform that players would love.

At the tail end of 2022, the team behind the project plans to release the open Beta version of the project as well as launch a community development platform.

Leading the team at Mechaverse is the project's CEO Watanabe Yoshi who has served as a project expert in Mizuho and TIS Inc. There is also Lwai Lincoln, who is the chief designer and has served as CEO of SHOEI Asia since 2013. The team also included Bryan (Co-Producer), Gene (CTO), and Rain, who is the Chief Product Officer.

What is The Token Used For?

This project has a dual token model where the first token ($MM) is used as a utility token that can pay for transaction fees, buy NTF and other in-game assets as well as be used for trading on DEXs. MM also has a role to help NFT upgrade.

The ($MC) token on the other hand is a governance token that gives holders the right to vote on various proposals that can shape the future of the Mechaverse gaming platform. $MC has a quest, which is awarded to the player as a reward for the next character.
