Which Networks Does KuCoin Web3 Wallet Support?

KuCoin Web3 Wallet supports multiple blockchain networks. When you transfer assets, swap tokens, connect to dApps, or perform other on-chain actions, you may need the corresponding gas token to pay network fees.

Gas fees are charged by the blockchain network. The amount may change depending on network conditions and the type of transaction.

Supported Networks and Gas Tokens

What Is a Gas Token?

A gas token is the native token used to pay transaction fees on a blockchain network.

For example:

• Ethereum, Arbitrum One, Base, and Optimism use ETH for gas;
• BNB Smart Chain uses BNB;
• Solana uses SOL;
• TRON uses TRX.

Even if you are transferring another token, such as USDT or USDC, you may still need a small amount of the selected network’s gas token to complete the transaction.

Do I Need ETH on Every Network?

No. You only need ETH on networks that use ETH as the gas token.

For example, Ethereum, Arbitrum One, Base, and Optimism use ETH for gas. However, other networks use different gas tokens, such as BNB on BNB Smart Chain, POL on Polygon, SOL on Solana, TRX on TRON, and AVAX on Avalanche C-Chain.

Also, the gas token must be on the same network you are using.

For example:

• To make a transaction on Base, you need ETH on Base;

• To make a transaction on Arbitrum One, you need ETH on Arbitrum One;

• To make a transaction on Optimism, you need ETH on Optimism;

• ETH on Ethereum mainnet cannot be used directly to pay gas fees on Base, Arbitrum One, or Optimism.

Before making a transaction, check both the selected network and the gas token balance on that network.

Why Can’t I Transfer Assets Even Though I Have a Balance?

A common reason is that your wallet does not have enough gas tokens on the selected network.

For example:

• If you have USDC on Polygon but do not have POL, you may not be able to send the transaction;
• If you have USDT on BNB Smart Chain but do not have BNB, you may not be able to pay the gas fee;
• If you have USDT on TRON but do not have enough TRX, the transaction may fail.

Please make sure the gas token you hold matches the network you are using.

Important Notes

1. The same token may exist on different networks
   For example, USDT may exist on Ethereum, TRON, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, and other networks. Before transferring, make sure the receiving address supports the network you select.
2. The gas token may be different from the asset you are transferring
   If you are transferring USDC, USDT, or another token, you may still need the network’s native gas token to pay transaction fees.
3. ETH must be on the correct network
   Some networks use ETH as gas, but the ETH balance must be on that same network. For example, ETH on Ethereum mainnet cannot be used directly to pay gas fees on Base, Arbitrum One, or Optimism.
4. Gas fees are not fixed
   Gas fees may change depending on network conditions, transaction type, and on-chain congestion. Please refer to the estimated fee shown in your wallet before confirming a transaction.
5. Selecting the wrong network may cause assets not to arrive
   Before confirming a transfer, check that the sending network, receiving network, and address type are correct.
