How to Open a Long or Short Position on KuCoin Web3 Wallet

This guide explains how to open a long or short position using onchain perps in KuCoin Web3 Wallet.

Before opening a position, make sure the you have USDC deposited into your onchain perps trading account. If you have not deposited USDC yet, complete the deposit process before proceeding.

How to Open a Long or Short Position

1. Select the token you want to trade from the market list
2. Choose long or short
   • Long: Profit if the price goes up
   • Short: Profit if the price goes down
3. Enter the USDC amount you want to use as margin
4. Adjust leverage
   • Select your preferred leverage multiplier
   • Higher leverage increases both potential profit and risk
5. Confirm and open position
