Ondo (ONDO) is a cryptocurrency developed by Ondo Finance. This platform focuses on tokenizing real-world assets (RWAs) and bringing them onto the blockchain. The aim is to improve liquidity, accessibility, and efficiency in financial markets.

Ondo Finance offers several products, including the OUSG Fund and USDY. Nathan Allman and Pinku Surana founded Ondo Finance in 2021. Both have extensive experience in traditional finance and digital assets, having previously worked at Goldman Sachs. In April 2022, Ondo raised $20 million in a Series A funding round led by Founders Fund and Pantera Capital. Other investors included Coinbase Ventures and Tiger Global.

• 1.29 billion tokens (12.9%) are allocated for private sales.
• 198 million tokens (2%) are allocated for the community access sale.

Most tokens are subject to various vesting periods to ensure long-term commitment and stability. For example, tokens allocated for ecosystem growth will unlock 24% at the public launch date and then be released monthly over five years. Private sale tokens and protocol development tokens have similar structured release schedules.
