According to Reuters, data released by the UK Electoral Commission shows that Nigel Farage’s populist party, Reform UK, has raised more funds than its main rivals for the third consecutive quarter. In the first quarter of this year, the party raised £9.3 million, largely due to substantial donations from crypto investors: Christopher Harborne, now residing in Thailand, donated over £3 million, and Ben Delo, co-founder of BitMEX, donated £4 million. The parliamentary standards regulator is currently investigating whether Farage should have declared previously received funds of £5 million from Harborne (which Reform UK describes as a personal gift). Additionally, the Labour Party announced in March its intention to ban cryptocurrency political donations and cap contributions from citizens residing abroad. https://t.co/HMgBA9xKjw
