I left a job in London to fix the milk supply chain in Odisha with tech & purpose. My friends thought I'd lost it. This video is from 2019, at the Harvard Club in New York, about eight years into building Milk Mantra - when I was a McNulty award nominee. For generations, milk in India had moved through layers of middlemen. Small farmers had little pricing power, poor access to credit, and almost no visibility into the real value of what they produced. We used technology to solve the trust deficit in that supply chain. Quality was measured fairly, payments were transparent, and farmers dealt directly with the company, not through layers of middlemen. That shift changed outcomes for thousands of farming households across Odisha. What stayed with me was the approach: use technology to restructure a system built on opacity and intermediation. That same systems thinking is what we are now bringing to finance. For decades, finance has run through opaque systems, closed access, manual processes, and layers of intermediaries. Tokenization now gives us a way to make capital allocation more transparent and fix access friction, which is what we are building at aarnâ. Stumbling on this clip was a reminder of where it all started. The McNulty Foundation recognising that work still means a great deal. To every young founder building in a new space, or disrupting a centuries-old way of doing things, the odds might look unreasonable for a time. But bet on your conviction, and keep building.
