In accordance with Coindesk, Startale Group, Sony's blockchain partner, has launched a U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin, Startale USD (USDSC), on the Soneium ecosystem. The token is intended for payments, rewards, and other functions within the Ethereum layer-2 network. The stablecoin is built on infrastructure from M0 and is accompanied by a rewards system called STAR Points. Startale aims to make Web3 tools as familiar as mainstream apps, with USDSC serving as the default digital dollar for the Soneium platform.
