Based on Biji.com, Sony has launched its Layer-2 blockchain platform Soneium to advance Web3 adoption in Asia. The platform has partnered with Japan's largest idol and fashion festival app, IRC, to integrate Soneium's IPFi infrastructure. This collaboration aims to measure and reward fan engagement through an AI-driven system, converting fan activity into membership tiers with tangible benefits. The system, tested successfully in Asia, will be expanded to other creative fields such as fashion, anime, and music. Soneium, launched in January 2025, has already gained support from Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and DeFi partners like Uniswap.
