Solana Price Drops 3% Amid VanEck SOL ETF Launch

Derived from Insidebitcoins, the Solana price fell 3% in the past 24 hours to $136.60 as VanEck launched its Solana ETF (VSOL) on Nasdaq. The ETF waives its sponsor fee for the first $1 billion in assets or until February 17, 2026, and offers a staking yield of 6.57%. The fund trades on the Cboe BZX Exchange with a 0.30% sponsor fee waived, and SOL Strategies also waived its 0.28% staking provider fee during the same period. Gemini Trust Company and Coinbase Custody Trust Company will provide custody services, while State Street Bank and Trust Company handles cash custody and fund administration. Van Eck Associates Corporation seeded the fund with $10 million on October 29.
