His wealth is primarily attributed to his 18% stake in Ripple and 2.7 billion XRP holdings, valued at approximately $6.3 billion. The SEC's resolution of its five-year lawsuit against Ripple in August 2024 and a favorable regulatory environment contributed to the surge in his fortune. Ripple also secured a $500 million strategic investment at a $40 billion valuation in October 2025.
