Based on Bijié Wǎng, the total market capitalization of the cryptocurrency market has reached $3.2 trillion, but returns are highly uneven. According to a report by Redstone Finance, only 8%-11% of assets (approximately $3,000-$4,000 billion) generate returns, significantly lower than the 55%-65% return rate in traditional finance. Bitcoin and Ethereum dominate the market, accounting for more than half of the market cap, but are highly volatile. The report suggests that the low return rate presents significant growth opportunities, with institutional capital focusing on Bitcoin and Ethereum, which offer up to 10% returns, while avoiding the 90% of cryptocurrencies that do not generate returns.
