In accordance with CoinTelegraph, Cypherpunk Nick Szabo has joined Samson Mow's digital infrastructure company, JAN3, as chief scientist. Announced on January 9, Szabo's role will focus on researching Bitcoin's impact on monetary policy, international trade, and global adoption. Szabo aims to establish Bitcoin as a cornerstone of a new global financial system. This move comes as several nation-states, including Bhutan and El Salvador, are increasing their Bitcoin reserves. Bhutan holds approximately 11,600 BTC, valued at $1 billion, while El Salvador's holdings total 6,000 BTC. The strategic reserve plans of these nations highlight the growing trend of Bitcoin adoption. JAN3 CEO Samson Mow predicts that Bitcoin adoption will accelerate, driven by factors such as government debt and fiat currency depreciation.
