In accordance with Bitcoin.com, Ledger has launched the Nano Gen5, a redesigned hardware wallet featuring a 2.8-inch secure touchscreen, Bluetooth, NFC connectivity, and native integration with the Ledger Wallet app. The $179 device allows users to monitor assets, send and receive crypto, stake, and interact with dapps from one dashboard. Ledger claims the Nano Gen5 continues its legacy of hardware security with a Secure Element chip, Ledger OS, and Clear Signing technology. The company also introduced a Ledger Recovery Key for wallet restoration and custom-designed badges by Susan Kare for personalization. The launch comes amid growing competition in the hardware wallet market, with Trezor recently unveiling its quantum-resistant Safe 7.
