Derived from Bijiie, Jupiter has officially distanced itself from its Metis exchange router, shifting focus to its top-tier swap algorithm, Jupiter Ultra. This move comes as competition among Solana DEX aggregators escalates, with rivals using Metis' pricing to highlight unfavorable comparisons between trading venues. Meanwhile, DFlow's market share continues to grow. On November 17, Jupiter released the final version of the Metis router, marking a clear separation from the product that had supported Solana DeFi since 2021. Despite Metis v7 handling billions in transaction volume and powering dozens of apps, it has now been decoupled from Jupiter's ecosystem to develop independently. Jupiter claims it will focus on strengthening its flagship routing product, Jupiter Ultra. However, Jupiter still exerts oversight and influence over Metis, as operators must stake 10,000 $JUP tokens to access Metis' binary keys. On November 15, DFlow's daily trading volume briefly surpassed Jupiter's, capturing 48.5% of Solana DEX aggregator volume. However, DFlow's share dropped to 6.6% the following day, making it unclear whether the surge signals a broader trend.
