According to Cryptofrontnews, Ethereum's network throughput reached a new record of 32,950 transactions per second (TPS), driven by Layer-2 activity led by Lighter. The surge in performance comes ahead of the Fusaka upgrade scheduled for December 3, 2025, at 21:49 UTC. The upgrade will combine the Osaka execution layer and Fulu consensus layer to improve scalability and data availability. Gas limit expansion to 60 million and the introduction of PeerDAS are expected to lower costs and increase data capacity. Security enhancements, including EIP-7918 and passkey support, will also be introduced to improve network stability and enable broader institutional adoption.
