According to TechFlow, BitGo has announced support for the IOTA mainnet starting in the first week of December, enabling users to manage IOTA tokens and other assets. As a leading digital asset infrastructure provider, BitGo serves over 4,900 institutions, businesses, and exchanges globally, is regulated by South Dakota’s banking authorities in the U.S., and offers up to $250 million in insurance coverage for key theft, loss, or misuse. With this support, institutions, exchanges, and users can access IOTA through a regulated and insured custody framework, while exchanges partnered with BitGo can now securely offer IOTA to their clients. Market makers also gain greater operational flexibility. BitGo also provides transaction, lending, and programmable money use cases, allowing developers and institutions to explore innovative applications of IOTA tokens while ensuring regulatory compliance. This move offers U.S. institutions a compliant and recognized pathway into the IOTA ecosystem, potentially boosting IOTA’s presence in the American digital asset market.
