The ETH price experienced a notable shift as of January 18, 2026, with validator queue data showing 2,596,246 ETH, valued at approximately $861 million, queued for Ethereum PoS staking. Activation is expected in 45 days and 2 hours, largely driven by BitMine's recent ETH staking activity. The exit queue is currently empty, with no ETH being redeemed. ETH analysis suggests continued staking demand amid a stable market.

BlockBeats news: On January 18, according to data from validatorqueue, a website tracking validator queues, the amount of ETH currently queued and waiting to join the Ethereum PoS network has risen to 2,596,246 ETH, valued at approximately $8.61 billion, with an estimated activation delay of about 45 days and 2 hours. The main reason is that BitMine recently staked a large amount of ETH it holds.

Meanwhile, the Ethereum PoS network staking exit queue has been emptied, and there are currently no users choosing to redeem their ETH from staking.
