DMC is the native utility token of DeLorean Labs, the Web3 arm of the iconic DeLorean Motor Company. Built on the Sui blockchain, DMC powers the world’s first on-chain vehicle reservation system and NFT marketplace for DeLorean’s upcoming Alpha 5 EV. By tokenizing “Build Slot” NFTs, DMC grants holders priority access to reserve, trade, and manage their Alpha 5 production slots in a transparent, immutable marketplace. Beyond its cultural heritage, DMC underpins reservation fees, rewards participants, and fuels an ecosystem that bridges automotive innovation with decentralized finance.

DMC integrates with DeLorean’s on-chain reservation platform by:

NFT Reservations: Users purchase or receive Build Slot NFTs, each representing a reservation for an Alpha 5 vehicle.

Marketplace Transactions: DMC is used to pay listing fees, bid on slots, and settle trades in a decentralized Sui-based marketplace.

Rewards & Staking: Once live, slot holders and active community members can stake DMC to earn rewards—such as priority upgrades, exclusive merch, or bonus DMC distributions—as outlined in DeLorean’s contest rules.
This model aligns incentives among builders, enthusiasts, and the legacy DeLorean brand through seamless on-chain mechanics.

DeLorean Labs officially unveiled DMC in conjunction with its Time Capsule NFT drop, which allowed participants to mint unique digital collectibles and win prizes—including bonus DMC and a chance to secure an Alpha 5 slot—throughout early 2025. Following that engagement, the project completed a public token sale on Republic from January 21–28, 2025, raising $1.9 million for ecosystem development. In May 2025, the on-chain reservation marketplace launched on Sui, marking DMC’s transition from a collectible reward token into a functional asset at the heart of DeLorean’s EV ecosystem.

DMC serves four main functions within DeLorean Labs’ ecosystem:

Reservation Fees: Pays gas and listing fees when minting or trading Build Slot NFTs on Sui.

Marketplace Settlements: Acts as the primary medium of exchange for secondary-market slot sales and auctions.

Community Rewards: Disbursed to Time Capsule participants, contest winners, and active contributors who stake or engage with the platform.

Governance & Access: Future protocols will allow DMC holders to vote on platform upgrades, new features, and tiered access privileges as the ecosystem matures.

Time Capsule Events: Register on DeLoreanLabs.com and participate in the Time Capsule mint to earn bonus DMC and contest rewards.

Public Token Sale: Purchase DMC directly during the Republic sale or on secondary exchanges post-listing.

Contests & Promotions: Complete community-driven campaigns—such as social challenges or referral programs—to claim DMC rewards per DeLorean’s contest rules.

DMC has a total supply of 12.8 billion tokens, with approximately 2.47% (315.85 million) sold in the public sale on Republic for ecosystem funding. The remaining tokens are allocated to:
