Forgotten Passwords

The Web3 wallet is a fully self-custodial service, meaning your seed phrase or private key is the only way to control your wallet. Each seed phrase, made up of 12 characters, corresponds to a specific wallet (e.g., Wallet A) and grants sole control over that wallet. As such, Wallet A and subsequently, a Wallet B, would refer to different sets of seed phrases being used to manage their respective assets. Each wallet uses its own seed phrase to manage its assets.  With one seed phrase, you can control multiple addresses across different blockchain networks.

The KuCoin Web3 Wallet requires a password to secure the app and manage the wallet. You set this password when creating or importing your wallet, and you'll need it for future actions like logging in or transferring funds. As a non-custodial, decentralized multi-chain wallet, KuCoin does not store your password and cannot help you recover it. If you forget your password, you can reset it by re-importing your seed phrase or private key, so make sure to back them up. If you don’t back up your wallet, forgetting the password means you could permanently lose access to your assets.忘记密码.png
