2. How Fees Are Calculated
Fees for KuCoin’s fiat deposit and withdrawal services may vary depending on the payment method and transaction type. Common fee structures include:
2.1 Fixed Fees
A set fee is charged for each transaction, regardless of the amount.
Example: If you deposit 100 EUR and the fixed fee is 1 EUR, your final credited amount will be 99 EUR.
2.2 Percentage Fees
The fee is calculated as a percentage of the transaction amount.
Example: If you deposit 100 EUR and the fee rate is 0.5%, the fee will be 0.50 EUR and you’ll receive 99.50 EUR.
2.3 Both Fixed and Percentage Fees Charged
Some payment channels apply both a fixed fee and a percentage-based fee. Where: Total Fee = Transaction Amount × Percentage Fee Rate + Fixed Fee Rate.
Example: If you deposit 100 EUR with a 0.1% fee + 0.40 EUR fixed fee, the total fee is 0.50 EUR. You’ll receive 99.50 EUR.
2.4 Minimum Fee Rule
Sometimes, certain payment methods may have a minimum fee threshold. If the calculated fee (whether percentage, fixed, or combination) is lower than the minimum, the minimum fee will apply.
Example: If the minimum fee is 1 EUR but the calculated fee is only 0.50 EUR, you’ll still be charged 1 EUR.
