What is KuCoin App with Out of Band (OOB)?

Out of Band (OOB) authentication allows eligible transactions to be authorised directly within the KuCoin App on a trusted device.
When OOB is available, transaction approval may be completed through the KuCoin App without the need to manually enter an email one-time password (OTP), subject to risk assessment and security controls.
The use of OOB does not eliminate authentication requirements but provides an alternative secure channel for transaction authorisation.
  
   

How do I enroll for OOB on the KuCoin App?

No separate enrolment is required.
Once you have downloaded and logged in to the KuCoin App on a supported device, OOB authentication may be available automatically, subject to:
  • device recognition
  • account status
  • internal security checks
